WHAT WE DO
Our services have included a broad range of environmental and regulatory consulting projects, from day-to-day compliance reporting to high-stakes site assessments. We have managed storm water treatment programs for dozens of petroleum marketing facilities, conducted discharge monitoring and compliance reporting for terminal sites, and led permitting and remediation efforts from conceptual design to full implementation. We’ve overseen compliance for more than 30 public water systems across Ohio and conducted groundwater monitoring, risk assessments, and regulatory liaison services. For every client engagement, our goal is to provide a tailored solution that balances environmental responsibility, legal compliance, and operational practicality. We frequently oversee subcontracted specialists—such as engineers or legal consultants—to ensure every project benefits from the right expertise, efficiently managed and quality controlled under one roof.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Scott Green is a geologist and environmental consultant with more than 40 years of professional experience in environmental science and over 36 years working in regulatory compliance. After beginning his career in hydrology and hydrogeology roles across Alaska and Ohio, Scott founded Green Environmental Management in 1990 to offer focused, field-based consulting to clients navigating increasingly complex environmental regulations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology with honors from Ohio University, and has completed graduate studies in Hydrogeology and Environmental Science.
Scott is not only a seasoned consultant but also an educator, having taught professional courses on stormwater pollution prevention, hazardous waste operations, spill response, and environmental risks in industries ranging from floriculture to real estate. His hands-on style, technical depth, and creative thinking have defined the company’s approach for over three decades. Whether addressing compliance with OSHA, DOT, fire codes, or environmental permitting agencies, Scott brings both academic training and lived experience to deliver solutions that work in the real world.
